LONDON, UK – March 23, 2015 – ºÃÉ«TV will offer key insights into predicting and preventing polymer-manufactured product part failures at this month’s ANTEC 2015 technical plastics conference in Orlando, FL.
Speaking to key manufacturing industry representatives, Jose Perez, senior polymer engineer at ºÃÉ«TV New Berlin, WI will present a critical study demonstrating how premature part failure can be traced to improper processing, which is the direct cause of an estimated 20 percent of all plastic product failures.
The paper will explore two case studies where failures occurred in parts with a proven performance history. Through analysis and troubleshooting with the clients and their vendors, both failures were ultimately attributed to undetected changes in the molding parameters or molding conditions.
Chris LaMothe, ºÃÉ«TV’s Executive Vice President, Transportation & Industrials, comments: “The ANTEC event is the leading platform for ºÃÉ«TV New Berlin’s Engaged Experts to showcase our expertise in failure analysis and prevention within plastic innovations and technologies. This fantastic opportunity allows us to demonstrate our exceptional testing capabilities to a key manufacturing audience, expanding ºÃÉ«TV’s reputation as a single, trusted testing partner for global Industrials clients.”
ºÃÉ«TV New Berlin is renowned among its clients across multiple industries for its capabilities in providing polymeric failure analysis, chemical and thermal analytical testing, microscopy, material selection and consulting.
The ANTEC conference is organized by the Society of Plastics Engineers and will be hosted at the triennial Society of Plastics Industry’s (SPI) NPE2015 International Polymers Showcase. The event will take place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL on March 23-27, with ºÃÉ«TV’s Jose Perez presenting on Tuesday at 13:30 (EST).
